Welcome to The Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center (EDAC) at Morgan State University. EDAC exists to connect budding and existing entrepreneurs to resources for venture management & growth. EDAC has partnered with Blackstone LaunchPad to propel college students success in entrepreneurship.

LaunchPad is powered by Blackstone and is committed to ensuring all students are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to create, plan, and launch successful business ventures. Our team is here to help guide you through all of the phases and cycles of entrepreneurship.The Blackstone LaunchPad network makes entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills accessible and relevant for all college students to help them build thriving companies and careers.

We can connect you to a global network of mentors, events, funding, talent, job opportunities, and more, so you can gain key entrepreneurship skills to build a successful company or build your resume for success in landing a job after college and advancing your career.

About the Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center

For more than 18 years, the Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center at Morgan State University has played a major role in introducing entrepreneurship across campus and throughout the surrounding community. EDAC was established to offer entrepreneurship education to the Morgan community while providing resources to help individuals within the community start, operate and scale a business. Serving nearly 1,000 individuals annually with workshops, one-on-one business counseling, specialty training, live events, and informative podcasts, EDAC’s mission is to connect budding and existing entrepreneurs to resources for venture management and growth. EDAC is a unit of Morgan’s Division of Academic Affairs.

About Blackstone LaunchPad network: The Blackstone LaunchPad network makes entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills accessible and relevant for all college students to help them build thriving companies and careers. We work with higher-ed institutions to deliver proven startup resources, facilitate access to a global network of mentors and advisors, and offer unique virtual and physical convening opportunities so thousands of diverse college students can go further, faster. Students learn by doing, gaining knowledge and critical skills to help them succeed as a founder or contributor to the innovation economy. LaunchPad’s ever-expanding network encompasses campuses with predominantly underrepresented populations.

The Blackstone LaunchPad Stewardship Council at Morgan State University supports the objectives and goals of the Blackstone LaunchPad program to advance innovation and entrepreneurship at the Institution. We will help drive the cross-school adoption of the program and take the necessary actions to ensure the success of the program university-wide.

Blackstone Charitable Foundation

Founded in 2007, the Blackstone Charitable Foundation is committed to creating economic opportunity for diverse and historically under-represented communities. Our programs aim to increase access to entrepreneurship and innovation skills, including our flagship Blackstone LaunchPad network, which helps college and university students gain entrepreneurial experiences and competencies to build successful companies and careers. The Foundation also supports communities through BX Connects, a best-in-class employee engagement, fundraising and board service program, providing grants and volunteer hours to our global nonprofit partners.
